Marcy Love Abloeser

Marcy has over 25 years of experience in marketing, strategic planning, advertising, public relations and promotion. She started her career in the corporate world with Glaxo SmithKline and Kraft General Foods and then worked for Philadelphia ad agencies and consulting firms. Marcy has extensive expertise in the B to B, non-profit, healthcare, consumer goods/services and retail industries. She has consulted for many Fortune 500 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Dial, Campbell’s, Nutrasweet, Tropicana, AT&T, Comcast, Unisys and Church and Dwight. As a small business consultant for SCORE she gives clients direction on business plan development and promotional tactics. Marcy has taught marketing, advertising, public relations and public speaking courses at University of Pennsylvania(Wharton), Widener University, Saint Joseph's University and Harcum College. She received her BSBA in marketing and finance from Boston University and her MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.

Aaron Bacchi

Aaron serves on the Tech Team for SCORE. He is studying Management Information Systems at The Fox School of Business at Temple University. He will be graduating January 2013 with his Bachelors of Business Administration. Aaron is in charge of resolving technical issues at the SCORE office, as well as developing and overseeing the website. He is able to bring expert knowledge to SCORE because he has 5 years of experience in the IT field as a computer technician. He is involved in many student organizations at school, an officer in the Association of Management Information Systems, and the founding president of the Professional Networking Association. He is also one of the few undergrad students participating in conducting research in the MIS department, which was ranked number one worldwide for research.

Tim Bosworth

Tim supports SCORE as a business counselor and leads workshops and seminars. He has many years experience in selling residential and commercial real estate. He presently focuses on real estate in Center City, Philadelphia and is affiliated with a large national realtor. His background includes conducting and directing scientific research in healthcare and health related issues as well as research for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at that center in Indiana. Tim also served as an intelligence analyst for the US Army, 3rd Infantry division Wuerzburg, Germany.

Additionally he serves as an adjunct professor, Entrepreneurship at the Philadelphia Center.

His education includes attendance at the University of Wisconsin, University of Maryland, European Campus, University of Oklahoma, European Division and Baldwin-Wallace College.

Jeremy Burrell

Jeremy volunteers for SCORE as a business counselor and workshop instructor. He currently serves on the discussion panels for Restaurant Start-ups hosted by Philadelphia SCORE & the Girard Coalition.

Jeremy is a passionate entrepreneur bringing over 15 years experience specializing in Small Business Startup, Bootstrapping, Utilizing Technology to Streamline Operations, & Restaurant/Catering industries.

Jeremy currently works as a Merchandise Planner / Assistant Buyer for LaMi Products, a retail merchandising company in Philadelphia, PA.  He has previously owned and operated a series of small businesses including a small printed publication, a painting company, and a café, catering, and food cart business.  His previous corporate experience includes project management, business process development, database testing & implementation, accounting, mediating & negotiating conflict resolutions, development of systems training materials, advertising, & creating presentations that get results.

Ernest Scot Fields

E. Scot Fields is currently the Owner of AIM ( Advanced Informative Motivation) and Managing Principal of CEO COUNCIL, LLC which is geared to help motivate individuals in the pursuit of entrepreneurship. AIM is using the Network Marketing Business Platform of 5Linx, the fastest growing VOIP telecommunications firm as reported by Inc. Magazine, as the driving tool for it's endeavors. To help assist AIM with providing additional resources, Mr. Fields is also Program Director for Entrepreneur USA and a member SCORE; Non-profits dedicated to educating entrepreneurs in the formation and growth of small businesses. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S Small Business Administration. As stated earlier, Mr. Field also chairs as Managing Partner of CEO COUNCIL, LLC, an organization geared around the business development, counseling, and business opportunity for existing entrepreneurs and prospective business owners. Prior to moving into the network marketing arena Mr. Fields was the Managing Partner of Alliance Mortgage Group, a Pennsylvania-based mortgage banking firm specializing in residential and commercial financing. He was exceptional at building and leading a mortgage banking firm. Mr. Fields is an expert at creating/capitalizing on networks, liaisons and business connections while negotiation/managing joint ventures and strategic partnerships. Prior to starting this venture practice in Nov 2004, he was an Senior Account Executive for Finance America, and the President of another mortgage and business services firm for 7 years. As President of Quest Mortgage Company, Mr. Fields' responsibilities included management of the company's origination, marketing, P&L,data offerings, credit reporting information, flood hazard compliance data, real estate tax information and collateral valuation services.

Stephanie Freedman

Stephanie Freedman is the owner of Corps Pilates, a private Pilates studio located in the Old City section of Philadelphia.  Since 2006 she has taught hundreds of clients and consulted at various companies teaching employees how to incorporate Pilates into their every day.  In addition to owning and operating Corps Pilates, Stephanie was most recently the Philadelphia Market Director for Ladies Who Launch until it closed in April 2010.  She had an extraordinary time facilitating workshops and events for women entrepreneurs in the city and looks forward to continue counseling through SCORE.

Bernie serves SCORE as a business counselor. His clients benefit from his 30 years experience in the banking industry, including commercial lending, small business administration lending and community outreach development.

Michael C. Hayes

Michael Hayes is a recent college graduate from Neumann University, obtaining his degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Management. Technology is something that he enjoys, having an understanding of many areas of the field. Michael has had experience with select programming languages, web development, networking, and computer repairs. He held the title of president of Neumann’s Management Information Systems (MIS) Club, a club dedicated to the study of Technology. He enjoys helping other with their technical problems. Having taken various business courses he has an understanding of finance accounting, business management, strategic planning, and investment portfolios.     

After joining SCORE Philadelphia, Michael assumed the responsibility of a Chapter Project Manager developing and rolling out a new web site from National to the local chapter.

In his words Michael says “I love the SCORE atmosphere, it gives me a since of enlightenment. It is a place where I can talk to people, outside of my normal circle, about many other things that interest me. Everyone is so nice and open minded, it is a breath of fresh air.”

Carol A. Heiberger

Carol Heiberger is an independent consultant specializing in business creation.  She is an experienced interim executive and project manager of large-scale, multi-location projects. Her industry experience includes positions with the Ford Motor Company, Bell Atlantic, and a large energy utility.  Her clients have included government entities and not-for-profits in addition to small, medium and large businesses.  She has served as the COO of a start-up CATV/ISP company, Director of Operations and Adjunct Assistant Professor for the MBA program at the University of the Sciences.  Other teaching includes Instructor Strategic Business Planning for Wharton’s Small Business Development Center and Introduction to Computer Literacy for 1199c.  She currently provides instruction to Wharton MBA candidates who are seeking to improve their writing skills through the Wharton Communications Program.  Volunteer work includes service as a SCORE Business Counselor and more than ten years on the Loan Committee for a Philadelphia-based micro-lender.

This experience has given her expertise in strategic planning, new business development, marketing, and finance with large complex organizations, small entrepreneurial groups, and domestic and international markets.  The book, Execuspeak Dictionary, Carol’s most recent project, was born of Carol’s insights gained over her diverse 30-year career.  She earned her MBA from Wharton.

Juliet Horton

Juliet volunteers for SCORE as a business counselor specializing in financial planning and financial statement preparation as well as social media. She also currently serves on the Young Professionals Committee for the Philadelphia chapter of the World Affairs Council and as a new member advisor for the Junior League of Philadelphia. 

Juliet currently works for Wells Fargo in the Financial Institutions Group as an analyst in syndicated debt.  She has worked for Wells Fargo (and legacy Wachovia) for four years with additional experience in brokerage and asset management groups.  Juliet also has worked with small businesses and microfinance organizations working to bring financing and access to capital for small businesses.  She has additional training and experience in project management, business process and development, presentations and negotiations and strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly financial modeling in excel. 

Juliet received her BA in Business Administration specializing in International Business from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA.

Lewis (Lee) Johnston, Chapter Treasurer

Lewis (Lee) Johnston has served as the Chapter Treasurer and is a business counselor.

Lee was responsible as Vice President and Chief Auditor for delivering audit services, including environmental, health and safety, worldwide for Rohm and Haas Company, a $9 billion specialty materials company with more than 100 manufacturing and research facilities in 27 countries prior to its acquisition by the Dow Chemical Company on April 1, 2009.  He was additionally responsible for the internal control function which leads the company’s compliance activities for section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley law.  During his career at Rohm and Haas, Lee served as Corporate Controller, Financial Director for Manufacturing, CFO for Latin America, Financial Director for Rohm and Haas Italy and Financial Manager for the Industrial Chemicals Business Group.  He is chair of the Board of Directors of the Wilma Theater and is a SCORE volunteer. 

Lee is a graduate of Duke University with distinction in history and a minor in economics.  He earned an M.B.A. with honors from Temple University.  He and his family reside in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania.

Amy H. Larrimore

Amy currently serves the Philadelphia Chapter leadership team as the Vice Chair of Technology, business counselor, workshop leader and public speaker. She serves her District (the largest in the country) as the District Vice President of Information Systems. She participates in SCORE National Task Forces on the Broadband Consortium, Technology Advisor Network, iSCORE national implementation and to assist the Gallup Organization in developing technology tools and curriculum for small businesses.

Amy is a professional empire builder, helping businesses combine Information Technology, Business Intelligence and Process in a sensible, profitable way. She leverages this as the founder and CEO of the Empire Builders Group, a joint venture management consulting firm. The group rents C-level executives with complete virtual departments for special projects, mergers, acquisitions or on an ongoing basis. Amy's expertise includes technology funding, venture capital and equity raises, all manners of strategic business planning, data analysis, business intelligence, process engineering and technology strategy consulting.

A serial entrepreneur, Amy has owned, operated, invested, held board seats or participated in material operations of several small businesses. She remains active in the technology community in many industry and professional groups. Amy attended the University of Oxford in England and holds a B.A in political science/nation building.

Dave Lewis

Small business development and growth have been integral parts of Mr. Lewis’s work life since 1976. Mr. Lewis worked in the Direct Mail industry, specifically computer and mailing services. Progressing from one person working out of a spare bedroom to employing more than 200 people in 80,000 sq. feet of space in Doylestown, Bucks County, PA, Mr. Lewis has experienced all the trials and errors that accompany commercial pursuit.

His two businesses integrated both manufacturing needs (mailing package assembly) and service needs (computer and list compilation and fulfillment), thus requiring skills in two distinct cultures.

Having sold his businesses in 2005, Mr. Lewis enjoys an affiliation with SCORE that permits him to continue to work with the challenges of small and emerging businesses.  As he lives in Southwest Florida during the winter months, Mr. Lewis serves  SCORE chapters in both SW Florida and Philadelphia, his summer home base.

He enjoys counseling and mentoring business launch and plan, business growth, marketing and small manufacturing issues.

Duane Lucas

Duane serves the chapter on the leadership team and as a business counselor. Duane Lucas bring over 25 years of experience as a business development professional focusing on sales, marketing and brand development. Some of that experience has been inside of Fortune 1000 companies and some of it in entrepreneurial development. Duane serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Outreach for the Philadelphia Chapter of Score.

Duane lends expertise in organizational development, brand initiatives, marketing, operations and revenue goal strategies. Duane believes that simpler focused approaches to business yield the most success and create the strongest brands. Logic + Innovation = Magic

Mark P. Maguire

Mark serves on the leadership team, as a business counselor and workshop leader for the chapter. Previously, Mark was the founding chairman of the Philadelphia chapter, fostering partnerships and growth of small businesses and their alliances all across the city. 

Mark brings over 30 years of international business experience to the organization, 19 of which were spent in Asia, Japan, Thailand and China.  He has worked as an engineer, a production manager, CFO, subsidiary manager and General Manager at various Fortune 500 companies.  His Thailand experience was like starting a small business, growing the staff ten fold and establishing a manufacturing plant. Since retiring, he has evaluated the purchase of several small businesses and consulted for several international companies. Education includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College and MBA in Finance from the Wharton School.

Eric Matzkin

Eric Matzkin is the President of The Entrepreneur’s Source, Philadelphia, which is part of the nations largest Consulting and Coaching Company focusing on Self-Employment and Franchising. He is also the President and Owner of U.S. Medical Staffing, a Medical Staffing Company based in Philadelphia providing Medical personal to Providers throughout the Delaware Valley.

Prior to establishing The Entrepreneur’s Source, Mr. Matzkin spent 25 years in Corporate America, and was the Divisional President and Chief Operating Officer. of 2 two Public Apparel Companies. During this period he directed the operations and had overall P & L responsibility for businesses in excess of $100,000,000, and with over 600 employees. He is experienced in International Sourcing, Product Development, and Sales and Marketing activities for products manufactured and distributed to over 5000 retail accounts, from Wal-Mart to Bloomingdales. He then acquired 2 small Companies, one in the Home Décor Industry, and the other a Regional Franchise. This experience introduced him to many of the issues relating to the purchasing of a business, and to the challenges of operating both a small independent business, and a Franchise Company.

Mr. Matzkin works with Organizations throughout the area that are involved in Business counseling, including SCORE, The Chamber of Commerce, the SBA, SBDC, Outplacement Companies, and Public and Private Universities.He is the past Chairman of the Board of the American Floral Importers Association, a SCORE Counselor and has served as a Board Member to several other Companies and Associations.

Married with 3 grown children, he resides in Center City Philadelphia.

Dave Morra

Dave has many years of experience in general management and executive leadership on a global scale, most recently as the CEO of a pharmaceutical services company. His experience includes restructuring, turnaround and acquisition integration in both manufacturing and service businesses.

Dave is presently a Managing Director of a private equity firm where he advises portfolio companies and oversees consulting engagements for the firm. His functional expertise is in sales, marketing and general management.

David’s education includes a BS from Providence College and a Certificate in Advanced Management from Wharton

Calandria Parker

Calandria serves as a business counselor for SCORE. Calandria was a healthcare professional with 13 years of nursing experience of which 3 years were as a nursing supervisor. Calandria has comprehensive knowledge of nursing care procedures and excellent direct patient care skills. After her nursing career, in 2005 Calandria acquired her Adult Residential license from the Department of Public Welfare, to own and operate an Assisted Living Facility for the Elderly.  In 2006, Calandria attended the National Food Registry,

In 2006, Calandria established her consulting firm now called Hummingbird Professional Consulting.  Her practice focuses on helping entrepreneurs with services ranging from business establishment and planning, grant writing, real estate investing, establishing not-for-profits, and a range of export/import services.

Calandria has conducted seminars on topics such as; Conflict Resolution, Conflict in the Workplace, Women Management, Communicate with Confidence, How to Motivate People, Team-Building, and Self-Awareness, Do's and Don’ts of Starting a Business.

Calandria is a member of the African American Chamber of Commerce, the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Entrepreneurs, and was awarded The National Leadership Award, she was recognized for her outstanding services and commitment to ideals and in particular for assistance and leadership in promoting a pro-business agenda including tax reform and fiscal responsibility.
for Food safety and obtained her Food Safety Manager license. She planned to set up a not profit 501(c)3 to operate an 42 room assisted living facility.  In 2008, Calandria attended Manor College and was awarded her certificates in Real Estate Investing and Grant Consulting.

Jason Paul

Jason is a member of the SCORE Tech Team. Jason is a junior, Management Information
Systems major, at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and intends to graduate in May
2012. Jason grew up in Allentown, PA and graduated from Emmaus High School in June of
2008. Jason has always had a keen interest of technology and has learned to utilize these interests
in his studies by working with and researching programming languages like C# , php, and HTML,
by building websites, and working with databases such as SAP and MySQL. Jason likes to work
and study new technology whenever he can. Jason works with the social media and software
management operations of SCORE In Jason's spare time he enjoys watching movies and playing
basketball recreationally.

Orloff Philips

Orloff Phillips, has over 17 years of Information Technology experience. Orloff owns and operates Suisse Associates, www.suisseassociates.com.  He has hands-on experience with tech support, help desk support, and network projects at non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and with small to large-size businesses. Additionally, Orloff has extensive experience with Programming, Project Management, System Security, MS office suites, exchange application, and email management. As a result of Orloff’s vast knowledge base, he has developed several search engine applications, database, web applications systems.  His advanced training in Business Management, project management and systems management position him creditably and adequately to engage businesses in dialogue regarding support services. According to Orloff, “I believe the IT solutions that we offer are efficient, reduce downtime, and increase productivity. We can provide high quality IT services that will promote businesses effectively and efficiently.” Recently Orloff has developed key relations with the ability to offer programming or application development services.  A factor to remain competitive through a network of already proven programmers that currently focus only on servicing businesses is a key.  Some of these key relations have led to successfully provide excellent services companies such as McDonalds – Wireless NMD upgrades.  Johnson and Johnson – Lan Remediation. Wayne Rosenberger - Vice Chair - Marketing

Wayne Rosenberger was a senior executive for more than twenty years for Harte-Hanks, one the leading direct marketing advertising agencies in the United States.  Wayne specialized in the health insurance market, and was a noted speaker at many industry conferences and is considered in expert in designing and implementing multi-media customer acquisition and retention programs for his clients.  The client base that Harte-Hanks served during Wayne's tenure included many Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, as well as other national and regional health insurance companies.
 
Prior to joining Harte-Hanks, Wayne worked for two of the pioneering insurance companies in the Philadelphia region that created the direct-to-consumer marketing methodologies that are still in use today.  In addition, Wayne worked for two companies in the Property and Casualty industry.
 
Wayne is married and resides in center city Philadelphia.

Dave Savage’s specialty is Career Counselor and Job Transition Consultant having
earned both an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He has taught business
courses at Widener, Philadelphia, and St Joseph’s Universities and has extensive
international business development and project management experience on four
continents.

Mary Webb

Mary serves as Chapter Secretary and Vice Chair of Training. She brings us the benefit of over 30 years experience in Human Resources as a business partner to pharmaceutical sales and manufacturing executives and leadership teams.  Mary’s experiences include the design and implementation of processes to increase sales effectiveness, assimilation guides for new leaders, serving as point person on numerous sales expansions and creation of specialty sales forces, and the selection of vice presidents and district sales managers.  She also effectively worked on diversity strategies to gain market advantage.  Corporate assignments included the design and implementation of a worldwide recognition program and event and coordinating the integration of Human Resource processes for several acquisitions and mergers.

Mary is also active in other volunteer activities including board member for Community Health Charities and her homeowners association, and supporting activities for Surrey Services for Seniors.

She is a graduate from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland and holds a BA in Art.

Ed Zenzola

Ed serves as a business counselor with SCORE. Ed brings has over 40 years experience in general business management including full bottom line responsibilities with specific assignments in sales and marketing, financial, international ( Asian region ) and operations as well as assignments in strategic planning, and acquisitions and divestitures.

He is now President of his own executive recruiting business and performance improvement consulting. His clients include a small business manufacturer and a trading company
Ed was President of the Asia Pacific division with a major worldwide publicly held chemical company here he had P&L responsibilities, including overseeing joint ventures with foreign partners. He also held executive positions where he was responsible for the company’s cash flow, capital structure and acquisitions and divestitures
